Executive Director

Melinda Skirvin is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of expertise in clinical and operational management, patient advocacy, strategic leadership, and acquisitions. Renowned for her strong leadership qualities and integrity, she has consistently added value to the communities she serves. Her impact includes overseeing multi-state operations, implementing successful wellness programs, and leading clinical initiatives in lifestyle, culinary services, and memory care.

A firm believer in a trust-based, relationship-driven leadership style, Melinda’s dedication to seniors and the caregivers who serve them is at the heart of her work.

Melinda has resided in Coral Springs for the past 32 years and has two grown sons. She is an animal lover and has 3 small dogs. She exercises daily and loves to take long, early morning walks as well as bake. Melinda has a passion for senior living, and we are fortunate to have her here at Discovery Village Boynton Beach.

Executive Chef

Throughout his career, Chef Pierre has worked in various environments including star Michelin restaurants, private clubs, brasseries, catering and banqueting, as well as corporate and academic settings. Each has provided a different perspective and contributed to his diverse experience and skills. Working under notable chefs such as Christopher Oaks (1-star Michelin), Charles Mercier (Casino Royale), Neil Patton, Paul Merrett (1-star Michelin) and Pierre Chambrin (former White House Executive Chef), he has had the opportunity to serve public figures such as Queen Elizabeth, George W. Bush, former Prime Ministers John Major, Margaret Thatcher and Sir Edward Heath, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Princess Ann, Princess Margaret, the Irish Prime Minister and the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Bono, Jeremy Irons and Michael Caine. Chef Pierre has always had a special place in his heart for serving seniors, and is “not content with the status quo or simply meeting the minimum requirements, but rather seek excellence.”
